Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish the satisfactory detection without any influence upon the surrounding atmosphere and background radiation by arranging a detector together with its case.
CONSTITUTION: A detector case 17, which is equipped with a lead wire leading pipe 12 and case supports 13 and 13 and which has a built-in radioactive ray detector 1, is fixed through the supports 13 and 13 to a detecting tube 20 which is covered with lead for shielding the background radioactive ray. If the tube 20 is connected to a liquid process piping line through flanges 24 and 24, it is possible to easily detect the radioactive ray even for a high temperature liquid. The detection of the radioactive ray of high accuracy is accomplished without any influence upon the surrounding atmosphere and the background radiation, and the maintenance of the detector can be easily and satisfactorily accomplished with the use of such construction.
