Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent effectively the overshoot at a high-voltage wave rise time by connecting a series circuit, which consists of the first switch element and a resistance, in parallel to the second switch element and turning on the second switch element at a prescribed delay after the first switch element is turned on.
CONSTITUTION: In a X-ray unit where X-ray switching is performed at the neutral point of the primary-side Y connection of high-voltage transformer 3, the first and the second switch elements are provided for X-ray switching, and the second switch element thyristor 10, which is one of them, is used as a main switch. Then, a series circuit consisting of the first switch element thyristor 15 and resistance 16 is connected in parallel to this second switch element thyristor 10; and by turning on the first switch element thyristor 15 at first, the voltage is applied to the primary side of the high-voltage transformer so that it may pass the resistance, and next, the second switch element thyristor 10 is turned on after a predetermined very short delay, so that the overshoot at a high-voltage wave rise time can be prevented effectively.
