Abstract
PURPOSE: To continuously manufacture through extrusion the metallic composite material, by processing as follows; the core material and the covering metal are fed into three outer circumferential grooves of the wheel which is then rotated on purpose to compress and plasticize above stated metals that are extruded simultaneously from the meeting chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Three outer circumferential grooves 3, 3', 3", are formed in outer surface of the wheel 1, and an upper part of these grooves is covered by the shoe 4. The core metal like as copper, etc., is inserted into the outer circumferential groove 3', and the covering material of soft metal like as aluminum, etc., is inserted into the outer circumferential grooves 3, 3", on both sides, and then, the wheel 1 is rotated. The metals inserted into these outer circumferential grooves are pushed into the depth of the grooves by the friction due to contact with the bottom and side planes of the outer circumferential grooves, and strike the protuberances 5, 5', 5"; hereby, a high pressure generates and the metals are plasticized. Metals are pushed from communicating paths 10, 10', 10", into the meeting chamber 8; both sides of core metal like as copper, etc., pushed in from the central communicating path 10', are covered by the covering metal of aluminum pushed in from the communicating paths 10, 10"; hereby, the composite metallic material is continuously taken out of the extrusion nozzle 9.
