Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve mechanical strength and heat-resistance and to reduce warp of electric insulation material, by mixing mica foil or glass fiber into thermoplastic polyester resin.
CONSTITUTION: 10W50 wt% of mica foil having one side length shorter than 1mm and 50W30 wt% of glass fiber having 5W15μ diameter and 1W6 mm length are added into thermoplastic polyester resin such as polybutylene terephtalate resin, then after dry mixing it is mixed by θ mono-axis mixer/extruder and molded by injection molder to produce electric insulation material. By mixing mica foil and glass fiber in such a manner, mechanical strength and heat-resistance of electric insulation material are improved while the warp is reduced.
