Abstract
PURPOSE:To make surface glass thinner and sound releasing effect higher by mounting a piezoelectric element to the inside surface of the surface glass of a watch by way of a printing layer and a conductive coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface of the surface glass 3 mounted to a watch case 1 via packing 4 is mounted, by way of a printing layer 10 which has a display window corresponding to a liquid crystal display device 9 and is composed of organic material coating having a function as a decorative plate and a conductive coating layer 12 which has a display window corresponding to the display window of the printing layer 10 and is composed of a conductive metal and organic coating, with a plate form piezoelectric element 13 which has a display window corresponding to the display window of the printing layer 10 and conductive coating layer 12. Then, if a drive signal is sent from a watch module 7 to the piezoelectric element 13 via contactors 14, 15, conductive coating layer 12, then the piezoelectric element 13 vibrates and the vibrations are transmitted to the surface glass 3, the vibration sound whereof is then released without any disturbance, thus alarming is accomplished. In addition, the surface glass 3 is reinforced by the layers 10, 12 and the reduction in its thickness is thereby made possible.
