Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the malfunction of the picture receiver by providing the means in front of the comb-line filter to eliminate the 18H-th carrier chrominance signal part of each field in the color video signal as well as to double substantially the level of the chroma reference signal within the VIR signal.
CONSTITUTION: The signal reproduced through record/reproduction system 11 is demodulated to the original luminance signal via HPF12 and FM demodulator 13 to be then introduced to signal process means 25. On the other hand, the reproduced signal is turned to the original carrier chrominance signal via LPF17, balanced modulator 18 and BPF20 to be applied to gate circuit 21 of means 25. And at least the 18H-th carrier chrominance signal part is eliminated at the output terminal of counter circuit 14 for each field of the color video signal. Then the signal which doubles substantially the level of at least the chrominance reference signal contained in each field within the vertical flyback time reference signal is supplied to the output path of counter circuit and in front of comb-line filter 23. Thus, the VIR signal is never disturbed by the comb-line filter to prevent the malfunction of the picture receiver
