Abstract
PURPOSE:To synchronize input and output signal waveforms with time by delaying the input signal to a speaker, drawing out the differential signal of both waveforms directly by applying the signals to a differential operator and quantitatively knowing the fidelity waveforms for the transient signal to the speaker with the differential signal thereof. CONSTITUTION:The signal of, e.g., single sine wave pulses, from a signal generator 1 is amplified in an amplifier 2 and is applied to the speaker 3 to be measured. The sound waves from the speaker 3 are received in a microphone 4 and are amplified in an amplifier 5. At the same time, the output of the amplifier 2 is delayed as much as for the propagation time of the sound between the speaker and microphone in a delay circuit 6. The difference between the signal which has been delayed in this delay circuit 6 and has been synchronized with time and the microphone output of the amplifier 5 is operated in a differential operator 7. The magnitude of the differential signal is displayed in a display device 8.
