Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the corrosion owing to corrosive gas by internally encapsulating nitrogen gas or chemically treated clean air and performing axis sealing as in hydrogen cooling.
CONSTITUTION: The nitrogen gas from a steel gas cylinder 12 is pressure-reduced to constant pressure by a pressure regulating valve 13 and adjusted to specified pressure by an automatic pressure regulator 14, then fills the inner part of a rotary machine through an air inlet valve 4. It also fills the sealing oil for axis sealing or sealing air supplied from a feed pipe in a mechanical sealing chamber 7 and raises this pressure higher than the nitrogen gas pressure of the rotary machine. In other words, it always sets the intra-machine nitrogen gas higher than atmospheric pressure. As a result, ambient corrosive gas does not penetrate into the machine, thus preventing the internal corrosion of the rotary machine
