Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the deformation of the jointed plate, by jointing each constituting material so that the weld lines may radiate from a definite point of the flat plate, at the plate jointing method for the flat plate to be united in one body.
CONSTITUTION: The circular plate 20 is the product obtained by jointing regularly the flat plate segments 24 after having jointed them termorarily so that the plate 20 may be consituted with 6 weld lines 22 radiating toward the circumference of a circle having the definite point 21 as the center and, because the weld lines 22 are arranged at an equal angle, the deformation due to welding is not concentrated to the weld zone, so that the welding work is easy. In the case where the circular central part 30 exists, the circumferential weld lines 31 and 32 are furnished. At this case, as the weld lines do not converge to the center part of the circular plate 20, the weld defects such as the concentration of impurities at the center part, the accumulation of residual stress, etc. are prevented. Because each constituting material is jointed so that the weld lines in the radial direction may become radiate, the residual stress due to welding can be utilized as the tensile force in the circumferential direction and the deformation can be restrained
