Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish through cleaning of matters accumulated on the bottom of water of a swimming pool with an advance or retraction of the cleaner in a constant zigzag path through a contact of a sensor mounted therto with the wall.
CONSTITUTION: Sensors 9 are provided at both ends of carrier of a cleaner. With the operation of a pump, a cleaner sucks the water through front and rear ports 4 at the bottom of a swimming pool while the matters accumulated are filtered by a filter 5. The water filtered jetted out of a port 8 with a valve means A to turn an impeller 7. Thus, a carrier mves forward. Upon hitting against the side wall C2, the cleaner turns counterclockwise on the tip 9 of the carrier and positioned at the right angle to the wall C2. The sensor 9 slides its rear end, and with the movement of the valve means, water is jetted out of a port 8a to turn the impeller 7. Thus, the carrier moves backwards. Each time the sensor 9 hits against the side walls C2 and C4, forward and backward movements are repeated. In this manner, the cleaner can cldan the bottom of water up thoroughly moving from the side wall C1 to C3
