Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an articulated machine hand, capable of altering the operable range of its wrist. CONSTITUTION:In an articulated machine hand, comprising a first member 3 pivotally turned by actuator 7 which includes two plates 4, 5 facing toward each other and having one end pivoted to a turning shaft 2 and a second member 13 which is pivotally connected to said first member 3 by means of pin 14 such that it is located between the two plates 4 and 5 and turned by actuator 15; said second member 13 is divided into a first portion 13a and a second portion 13b along the length thereof from the position of pin 14, and they are coupled together by means of coupling means 25. However, if it is required to detach the second portion 13b from the first portion 13a, bolt 30 of said coupling means 25 is threaded out of screw hole 29, whereafter piston rod 17, is moved toward the head by means of actuator 15, to shift pin 18 across the line connecting pins 14 and 6 to the position shown by imaginary line in the drawing.
