Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent evaporated fuel released out of a canister from escaping into the atmosphere, by storing the evaporated fuel in the crankcase of internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An atmosphere opening 10 of the canister 2 is connected to the crankcase 12 through a passage fitted with a three-way solenoid valve 13, which shuts off the passage and connects the atmosphere opening 10 to the atmosphere while the engine is operated. Therefore, the evaporated fuel of fuel source does not escape into the atmosphere, and the atmosphere is protected from being contaminated by the evaporated fuel.
