Abstract

PURPOSE: To plan mass production with simplifying a structure and adjusting an optical block easily, rapidly and accurately by displaying the read output of a test chart.
CONSTITUTION: Optical block 40 is fixed onto fitting faces 64 and 65 of main body 62 of an addusting unit, and optical axis 41 is set in the vertical direction. Main body 62 is provided with rotary drum 66 so that drum 66 may rotate on axis 67, and test chart 68 attached to the circumference face of drum 66 is supported at a right angle to axis 41, and the read face of the test chart is irradiated by each illuminating lamp 69. Meanwhile, adjusting unit 70 arranges photo diode array 48, which is on wiring substrate 49 on substrate holder 71, in respect to the read optical axis of lense 45 of block 40 so that an accurate read can be performed. The read output of array 48 is amplified through line 77 by amplifier 80 and is displyed on an external CRT.
