Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve cutting performance of beard with better contact between the outer and inner blades.

CONSTITUTION: With the central point of a reciprocating inner blade 4 pushed up by one spring, elastic arms 8 are respectively mounted at two ends of thin outer blade 1 along the direction in which the inner blade reciprocates. The deformation point of the arm 8 is engaged with a housing. In a reciprocating razor of such type, both ends of the arm 8 are fixed to the outer blade 1 while a roughly central point elastically deformed is engaged with the housing. In other words, when the outer blade 1 is pressed on the skin, the inner blade 4 tighten the spring 5 while rotating on the upper end of the spring. At the same time, the outer blade 1 starts to rotate on a pin 9. This maintains a proper contact between the inner and outer blades thereby eliminating a slacking deformation of the outer blade as seen in the conventional type. A repulsive force is given the outer blade 1 from the housing due to heat seal staked points 11 and 11 positioned close to the end thereof. This force checks the generation of lengthwise elastic deformation of reciprocation outer blade thereby improving contact with the inner blade 4
