Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an indicating circuit which enables indicating of the genuine failure of commercial power supply during the artificial suspension of the power by connecting a battery of a given voltage to a control end of a given circuit with a commercial power failure indicating element as a load in parallel together with the end of commercial rectified smooth voltage.
CONSTITUTION: When a checkingswitch is opened for inspection, a relay 6 is deenergized to close a normally closed contact 7 thereby actuating a timer 8. At this point, a normally open contact of the timer 8 is opened. This suspends commercial energization of an emergency lamp 3 and with suspension of a relay 14, a contact 15 is closed to allow a battery 13 to turn on an incandescent lamp. At the same time, a checking device not illustrated works to start the measurement of electricity. As a fixed time set by the timer 8 passes by, the related circuit is reenergized to memorize and indicate the results of the checking. If a genuin power failure occur during the checking, the output voltage of a power failure detection indicating circuit is reduced to zero so that the terminal voltage of a smoothing capacitor 19 reduces to zero. This allows a light emitting diode 24 to be energized thereby indicating the power failure
