Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of control lines by converting frequency assigment signals to series time sharing signals and applying the same to a scale correction circuit.

CONSTITUTION: An automatic accompaniment circuit 1 controls foot key and accompaniment key circuits 3, 4 at the timing signals corresponding to the clocks generated by a clock 2. This causes the codes corresponding to key touching to be applied to the circuit 1, then the binary frequency signals assigning automatic base patterns by a rhythm pulse generator 8 are applied via base pattern assignment circuit 7 to a multiplexer 11 by the code kind assigment signals from the circuit 1. On the other hand, the play mode signal and octave code from a one finger control circuit 9 and an octave assignment control circuit 10 are applied to said multiplexer 11, then the multiplexer 11 outputs the frequency signals corresponding to key touching, etc. in time sharing and series and applies the same to the scale correction circuit of the circuit 1 through one control line, thus producing automatic accompaniment sounds. Hence, the number automatic accompaniment sounds. Hence, the number of control lines becomes mimimum and the number of required pins may be reduced as well
