Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a zigzag form multi-stylus head with good accuracy by bending a flexible master film having formed with required recording stylus patterns along its centerline to use as the front and back masks of substrate and forming conductors corresponding to the patterns on both surfaces of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Plural recording stylus forming patterns 1A, 1B which are deviated in pitch by half in mutually opposite directions are opposedly provided on a flexible master film 1 with the spare region 3 provided near the centerline XY of said film in-between. Next, the film 1 is bent along the centerline XY and is contacted to a substrate 6, which has been coated with photosensitive agents on both surfaces, with its both surfaces in-between and these are precisely aligned in relative positions by using aligning holes 4, 5. Following to this, conductor patterns for making desired multipolar recording styli are formed on both surfaces of the substrate 6 by photoetching and the portion near the centerline XY is fixed with resin, after which the spare region 3 is removed to expose the end of the conductors to make recording styli, whereby the recording head is obtained.
