Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of condensing sewerage sludge to a high density with ease; by adding mineral oil emulsified by cationic emulsifier to sewerage sludege, stirring up vigorously to mix them uniformly, and subjecting the same to the treatment of floatation.
CONSTITUTION: Water from tank 1 (or treated water 11) is introduced into pressurizing tank 3 while pressurizing the same to 3W6 atm by means of pressurizing pump 2, and air 5 is supplied to the tank 3 by means of compressor 4 and dissolved in water. Pressurized water 6 in which air is dissolved is introducd into floatation tank 8 via ejector 7. Here, when water 6 passes the ejector 7, mixture 9 of sewerage sludge 13 and mineral oil 12 pre-emulsified by cationic emulsifier is drawn into water 6, and at the same time, fine bubbles produced by reason of pressure reduction are attached to solid matters of sludge, whereby it is separated into treated water 11 and highly condensed froth 10 in floatation tank 8
