Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a highly crystalline molded article suitable for electrical and mechanical parts, by injection molding of a specific blend of a triaryl phosphate, a solid inorganic substance having a nucleating action, and polyethylene tetephthalate in a low-temperature mold.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100 parts by wt. of polyethylene terephthalate is blended with (B) 5W20 parts by wt. of a triaryl phosphate, e.g. triphenyl phosphate, etc. and (C) 0.1W10 parts by wt. of a solid inorganic substance, e.g. talc, etc. having a particle size of 0.01W10μ and a nucleating action and/or a metal salt of an organic acid, e.g. calcium oxalate, etc. The polyester composition thus obtained is injection molded at a mold temperature of 100°C to room temperature to give a molded article having a density of resin of 1.35 or higher.
EFFECT: Low aldehyde content.
