Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely detect the instantaneous breakage and the progression of fatigue failure of a weak point pin by providing a hole in the weak point pin and sealing a pressure gas therein.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow pressure sealing hole 4 is provided across the weak point part 3' of a weak point pin 3 and a pressur detecting element 5 is disposed at one end thereof. Then, when a gas of a specified pressure is sealed in the pressure sealing hole 4 through a gas filling hole 6, the sealing gas gradually leaks through fatigue failure part A as the weak point 3' through fatigue and the fatigue failure face reaches the pressure gas sealing hole 4. Hence, by detecting the decreasing condition of the sealed gas pressure via the pressure detecting element 5, the progression of the fatigue failure is detected. On the other hand, when an abnormal pressure is exerted upon links 1,2 and the weak point part 3' breaks instantaneously, the sealed gas pressure sharply drops and the instantaneous breakage is detected
