Abstract
PURPOSE: To liquefy hydrocarbons efficiently and prevent a catalyst from powdering and damage, by using a catalyst consisting of calcium, magnesium, iron, aluminum, and silicon oxides in specific proportions.
CONSTITUTION: A catalyst consisting of oxides having a catalyst intensity activity coefficient (SAc) of 1W12, which is obtained by dividing a total amount (wt%) of calcium, magnesium, and iron oxides by a total amount of silicon and aluminum oxides, and a total weight of silicon and aluminum oxides of 5W25wt% is used in the liquefaction of liquid or solid hydrocarbons in the presence of the catalyst consisting of calcium, magnesium, iron, aluminum, and silicon oxides. A residue oil, coal, coke, coal tar, and resin may be cited as the hydrocarbons.
