Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a corrosion centering on one component of an underground iron buried member which is constituted by combining at least two components.
CONSTITUTION: A duct made of cast iron tube as one example of underground buried material is constituted by a combination of components such as a bolt and nut 1, a cast iron tube 2, a push ring 3 and a rubber ring 4. A corrosion enters on the bolt and nut 1 the surface area and weight of which is minimum among said components. A method of this invention is to prevent the bolt and nut 1 the surface area and weight of which is minimum from the corrosion as a means to prevent the corrosion of the duct made of cast iron tube as mentioned above. That is, a zinc coating is applied onto the surface of the bolt and nut 1 and an anti-rust painting is applied on the coating. By so doing, it becomes possible to increase by a large margin the life of the duct made of cast iron tube
