Abstract

PURPOSE: To miniaturize the device, by designing the device in such a manner that a water surface of an accumulator, being fitted with a testing safety valve, is kept at a low level by means of a blow valve, eliminating waterdrops contained in steam by the use of a demister positioning above a water surface, and by adjusting the pressure by the use of an adjusting valve.
CONSTITUTION: A water surface of an accumulator 3 is kept at a specified level by means of a blow valve 8. Wet steam is fed from a boiler 1 through a main steam pipe 2 and a steam feeding pipe 6, pre-heats the accumulator 3, and is released through a check valve 12 and a silencer 4. After the pre-heating has completed, the valve 12 is opened slightly or is closed fully, and if the pressure reaches a blow- off force of a testing safety valve 14 by means of a pressure control valve 10, the safety valve 14 opens and steam is released through a silencer 15. In consequence, it is detected by a detector 10a if the pressure decreases, the pressure control valve 10 opens and steam flows in, thus, the safety valve 14 can be accurately tested for a given time
