Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the production cost, utilize an appropriate light collecting effect and efficiently collect solar heat, by combining heat absorbing flat plates with reflecting surfaces of triangular cross sections.
CONSTITUTION: Numerous reflectors 5 are combined with one another so that the reflecting surfaces of right-angled isosceles triangle cross sections are produced. The heat absorbing plates 6 are so placed that the central parts of the plates are in contact with the vertexes (a) of the triangular cross sections of the reflecting surfaces and the ends (b) of the plates face the bottoms (c) of the triangular cross sections. The angle between the heat absorbing plates 6 and the reflectors 5 is 45°. Light A is absorbed on the obverse sides of the heat absorbing plates 6 and light B is absorbed on the reverse sides of the plates. Therefore, double light is collected. Even if heat absorbing plates 8 are placed as shown in the lower figure, the same effect is obtained
