Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure an easy display of the microwave tube characteristics by supplying the output of the impedance detector and the microwave detector to the digital computer to select and memorize it after comparison with the set value and then calculating the impedance.
CONSTITUTION: Slug standing wave generator 3 is provided to vary the load impedance of microwave tube 2 to be measured, and impedance detector 6 produces the analog signals according to the slug insertion length or the slug position of generator 3. While microwave detector 7 detects the microwave which is transmitted from tube 2 to the load. The signals produced from detector 6 and 7 are sent to digital computer 8 and then compared with the set value to be selected and memorized, and thus the impedance is calculated. And the characteristics of the tube 2 is arranged based on the set value. In this way, the characteristics of tube 2 can be displayed easily on teletypewriter 9 and X-Y plotter 10 each.
