Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the transmission of one data with one modulated pulse by applying simultaneously both the modulation of the time axis direction and the modulation of the voltage axis direction of the pulse to the pulse-encoded data signal. CONSTITUTION:Both the modulation of the direction of pulse time axis t, i.e., the modulation of the pulse duration or phase and the modulation of the direction of the voltage axis, i.e., the amplitude modulation are applied simultaneously to pulse-encoded data signal A. Thus, in case character A, for example, is transmitted, E1 and T1 pulses are selected. In the same way, E2 and T2 pulses and E3 and T3 pulses are selected in the case of transmission of character B and X respectively. In such way, the signal contents is decided for each pulse with the regularity secured previously at both the transmitter and receiver sides. As a result, each pulse can be transmitted with the fixed signal contents each. The 5-value pulse duration modulation of T1-T5 is given to the direction of time axis t, and the pulse duration modulation of the value of E1-E7 is given to the direction of voltage axis V. Thus, 35 types of data are obtained.
