Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of correction by using the speed of the measuring car having been measured through the utilization of Doppler effect of radio waves.
CONSTITUTION: An antenna 7 for emitting radio waves and receiving the radio waves having reflected from the building 10 on the ground, a speed measuring device 8 which measures the speeds of the measuring device 8 which measures the speeds of the measuring car 4 from the differences between the emitted radio waves and the reflected radio waves from Doppler effect and an output unit 9 of the results of measurement are mounted to the measuring car 4 which is provided with a corrected speedometer 6. The correction of the speedometer 6 is accomplished by emitting radio waves from the antenna 7 while letting the measuring car 4 advance toward the building 10, receiving the reflected waves thereof in the antenna 7, sending the same to the speed measuring device 8, calculating the speeds of the measuring car 4 by the Doppler effect from the deviations of the frequency of the reflected waves, displaying the same and comparing the value displayed and the value indicated by the speedometer 6. Thereby, the error-free correction of high accuracy such as the one when the rotating speeds of a standard wheel are used may be accomplished.
