Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve miniaturization, improve electrical controllability and enable mounting adjustment, etc. to be readily performed by the constitution of inserting the voice coil mounted to the mirror in the two magnetic gaps in the magnetic circuit forming a round loop.
CONSTITUTION: A circular mirror 7 is rotatable about a support bar 8 having torsional spring characteristic. A voice coil 10 wound on a cylindrical bobbin is mounted to this and the voice coil 10 is inserted together with magnetic fluid 11 in the magnetic gaps formed by an outer yoke 12 and inner magnetic poles 13 and 13'. When current is flowed to the voice coil 10 from the outside, the couple of forces is produced with the support bar 8 being the center of the disc including the mirror 7 as a center, causing the mirror 7 to rotate and vibrate about the support bar 8. This vibration system receives damping action owing to the viscosity of the magnetic fluid 11, thus providing smooth frequency characteristics.
