Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus enabling to carry out sampling operation efficiently by determining an optimal sampling point in the stocking pool from the output of a pit vehicle detector, a level detector and a pit signal detector and the output of a detector for detecting the level of sampling point. CONSTITUTION:The appatatus of this invention comprises a pit vehicle detector 1 for detecting whether or not a vehicle is present in pit P, a pit signal detector 5 disposed in each pit P for detecting the condition of traffic controlling signal S for guiding the vehicle in pit P, and a detector 4 for detecting the level of a plurality of sampling points in stocking pool 10. With such an arrangement, control is made such that sampling operation is not carried out at those sampling points corresponding to the pits where a vehicle is received or into which a vehicle is going to get, and by means of level detector 4, level of the stock material for each of remaining sampling points A, so that it is enabled to determine the sampling order for the sampling points sequentially from those where the level is higher than the other.
