Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a two dimensional pressure sensor of easy production, low cost and superior characteristics by mounting the first electrode groups on one of the surfaces of a resistance film and the second electrode groups on the other surface so as to intersect with the first electrode groups. CONSTITUTION:The resistance values of a resistance film 1 locally change according to the pressures being applied to insulation films 6, 7 and the change quantities thereof are drawn out through output terminals. This pressure sensor comprises disposing a multiplicity of pressure sensing elements 1a in multiple matrix form and may be regarded that respectively first and second electrode gropups 2, 3 are connected to both sides of the elements 1a. With such circuit, power sources 8 are connected to respective input terminals and constant voltage V0 is subsequently applied. On the other hand, the respective output terminals are connected to a memory matrix 10 via feedback amplifiers 9, so that the output signals are amplified and are then stored in the memory matrix 10. If the values thereof are displayed in a display device 11, the pressure distributions of the object being measured may be readily observed.
