Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively obstruct the infiltration of the vapor of sodium without damaging a function of a rotary plug when exchanging fuel, by mounting clearance limit structure of a lower end of a void between a fixed plug and the rotary plug.
CONSTITUTION: A lower flange 16 is fixed to a lower end of a fixed plug 2, and an upper flange 15 is mounted to a lower end of a rotary plug 6 and push contacted with a lower end portion 18 of the lower flange 16 by means of a bellows 19. The elastic deformation of the bellows 19 is adjusted by means of a stopper 20. A void 7 between the fixed plug 2 and the rotary plug 6 is formed in the dimensions that do not hinder the revolution of the rotary plug 6. Since a lower end portion of the ringed voil 7 is closed by contact between the flanges 15, 16 when a reactor is being operated, the infiltration of the vapor of sodium from a sodium surface 10 can be prevented.
