Abstract
PURPOSE: To make better workability for filling compound and also connecting cable by the procedure in which each condutor's plastic-power layer is formed by melting part of adhered compound, then twisted in a heating atmosphere, and then molded by extrusion.
CONSTITUTION: A non-adhesive plastic powder as a running water-shield compound is adhered to each conductor 1 by heating, and part of the plastic powder is melted to form the plastic powder layer 2. The conductors 1 are then twisted in a heating atmosphere so as to fill plastic melt into between the conductors 1 and then covered with the insulating layer 3 formed by molding a plastic insulator of the same kind as the aforesaid plastic powder or of a different kind by extrusion. The use of a non-adhesive plastic powder in the cable in this way results in much better workability for filling the compound and also connecting the cable without the use of solvent as well as the easier removal of the compound from the conductors.
