Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a multi-layer laminated sheet useful for packaging of medical supplies and foods (esp. retort food) and giving excellent interlayer adhesivity in boiling water, by laminating a specific polyolefin layer onto a nylon layer. CONSTITUTION:A laminated sheet comprising (A) a polyolefin layer consisting of (a) 99-50 wt.% of a polyethylene grafted with an unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative) monomer (pref. maleic anhydride) and having a crystallization degree of >=40 %, or of a polypropylene grafted with the above monomer and having >=80 % of an insoluble part in boiling n-heptane, and (b) 1-50 wt.% of an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer having crystallization degree of 5-30 % (pref. ethylene-1- butene random copolymer having a density of 0.87-0.91 g/cm<3>), and (B) a nylon layer, e.g. a long chain synthetic polyamide, etc. EFFECT:The sheet has excellent water vapor transmission resistance, gas transmission resistance and oil resistance, and high strength and stiffness.
