Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent roller contact or retainer noise by applying as a tapered roller angle the difference angle between an external and an internal wheel track surface angles which changed by fitting.
CONSTITUTION: When the angle of a tapered roller 7 is sought, the angles of an internal and an external wheel track surfaces α', β' obtained by expansion and deformation due to the fitting of the internal and the external wheels 5, 6 are detected and the difference angles α'-β' is let to be the tapered roller angle. Thereby the fitting dimension of the internal and the external wheel track surfaces and that of the tapered roller 7 are similar and it is possible to fit them adequately. In this way irregular roller contact, retainer noise are protected and longer life can be obtained.
