Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a liq. separator which is increased in press. resistance of bend joints so as to increase press. safety of the whole apparatus, by applying pressing boards to a pair of bend joints at both sides of separating pipe group through resin molds which wind around the joints. CONSTITUTION:Separating pipes 3, 3... arranged in parallel in a case 5 and inserted into holes made in support boards 4a-4c, each pipe being connected by bend joints B, B at the ends with adjacent pipes to form zigzag path of the pipes 3, 3... . Resin molds 2 of every joints B are applied at their flat end surfaces 21 to pressing boards 9, 9 which support the resin mold at outside of the boards 4a, 4b and are fastened with stay bolts 10... . Raw liq. flows through the zigzag path formed with pipes 3, 3... connected by joints B. Downward force is applied to the joints B, and high press. is developed at the plane of contact, however the stress developed at the joints B... is made sufficiently small, so that the separator can be kept safe.
