Abstract
PURPOSE: To manufacture the yoke being inexpensively, surely jointed so as to be waterproof without necessity of welding work, by forming a part of the thickness at each end face of the sheet material into a tongued-and-grooved face, and the residual part into the flat face, and by caulking the joint partion.
CONSTITUTION: At a part of the end faces 1c, 1d, of the sheet material 1 for forming the cylindrical yoke for use of the motor, the joint portions 3, 4, of tongued-and- grooved type are alternately formed so as to be mutually fittable. The thickness t1 of these tongued-and-grooved portions is set at approximately a half of the thckness (t) of the end faces 1c, 1d. Further, the flat portions 5, 6, are formed so as to continue to above tongued-and-grooved portions 3, 4. After bending thus prepared sheet material 1 into a cylinder, the end faces 1c, 1d, are mutually fitted, and then, the joint portions 3, 4, are caulked at respective tongued-and-grooved portions. Hereby, the flat portions 5, 6, of respective joint portions are also tight closed, and the end faces 1c, 1d, are fixed to be waterproof.
