Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an elevator operating system for physically handicapped people, which operates such that when cage is stopped at a floor in response to a cage call or a hall call used exclusively by physically handicapped people, automatic closing of the door is prevented and door closing instruction is given when door closing button is pushed, whereby it is enabled to close the door after confirming that they can safely get into or get out of the cage.

CONSTITUTION: When third-floor cage call used exclusively by physically handicapped piople is registered in cage, registering relay contact is closed. As the cage approaches to the third floor, cage-position detecting contact at the third floor is closed and when stopping at the third floor is determined, relay contact instructing determination of stop is energized. Further, relay detecting stop for exclusive call is energized and self-maintained by the closing of its contact. When cage is decelerated and stopped at the third floor and its door is opened, timing relay 15 starts counting of time. Here, since contact 8d is opened, relay 11 controlling opening and closing of door is not energized, so that door is not closed. However, if door closing buttons 16, 17 are pushed in this state, relays 18, 11 are energized and door is closed. Thus, safe getting on and off of physically handicapped piople can be ensured.
