Abstract

PURPOSE: A mixutre containing cyclohexanol and title compound is brought into contact with water at a relatively low temperature to shift the cyclohexanol into water phase selectively, then the water phase and the organic phase are separated, thus isolating safely title compound in short times.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture containing cyclohexanol and title compound is brought into contact with water at 0W70, preferably 5W50°C to shift the cyclohexanol into the water, wherein the amount of water used in more than 3 times the volume of the mixture. Inorganic salts may be dissolved in the water layer so that the separation of the water phase from the organic phase is accelerated. As title compound is soluble in water containing alcohol, the use of water in an amount of more than 10 times of the alcohol is recommended when water contains alcohol.
EFFECT: The recovery rate is very high. Further, cyclohexanol is obtained in the form of an aquous solution, which is readily reused as the sharting material for title compound.
