Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve efficiency of micro parts handling operation, by combining a vacuum drawing means with aligning plate of transport means.
CONSTITUTION: Aligning plate 1 having a multiplicity of small holes 3 formed in its surface is carried on a vibration type parts feeder 8 which serves as means for transporting micro parts (extremely small-sized parts), and a vacuum drawing means 6 is provided such that it can be moved toward and away from the aligning plate 1 and parts recovering case 4. With such an arrangement, a multiplicity of micro parts 2 furnished at parts feeding position 9 on aligning plate 1 are moved in the direction of arrow 5 by the vibration of parts feeder 8 and drop successively into the small holes 3. Then, operation of parts feeder 8 is stopped, and all of the micro parts 2 are drawn simultaneously into suction nozzles 7 which are arranged in the same pattern as small holes 3 of the vacuum drawing means 6. From this vacuum drawing means 6, micro parts 2 are carried to the next processing station.
