Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the wiper motor structure, to minimize it in size, and thereby to facilitate production thereof by arranging conductors and insulators on the surface of a rotary member so as to form a concave-convex surface, and thereby rotating a wiper motor in the reverse direction by bringing a brush into a sliding contact with the conductors.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 3 is switched on, a wiper blade 1 rises from the stop position S up to an upper returning position U on the glass surface and then goes back up to a lower returning position D. This reciprocation of the blade 1 between the positions U and D is repeated hereafter. When the switch 3 is switched off, a wiper motor rotates in one direction and therefore the blade 1 reaches the position D. The power supply to the motor 4 is interruped at this time, but immediately restarted so as to rotate the motor 4 in the reverse direction. Then the blade 1 goes down up to the stop position S. A primary and a secondary brush which constitute a short-circuit switch are supplied with electric current by the convex part of a secondary electrode, and a body 7 is stopped abruptly due to the dynamic braking.
