Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to start deflection scanning automatically after recovering transient change of acceleration voltage, by providing beam deflection means composed of the acceleration voltage detecting apparatus and beam current detecting apparatus at the electron beam deflection apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: Voltage signal of the acceleration voltage detecting resistance 25 is applied to the comparator 22 through the buffer 21 and that of the beam current detecting resistance 27 is applied to the comparator 29 through the buffer 28. The comparator 22 is set up so as to be changed to the acceleration voltage set point by the set-up device 23 and also the comparator 29 is set up so as to be a fixed output set point by the set-up device 30. The output 24, 31 of the comparator 22, 29 are applied to the AND circuit 32 and deflection scanning start signal is made by the output of the circuit 32 through the buffer 31 and the transistor 34 when the above both outputs are made to the set point and then, deflection scanning of the beam is started automatically. Thus, dislocating of the beam from weld line by transient change of acceleration voltage immediately after the start of welding, is prevented and operation is made easy.
