Abstract

PURPOSE: Operating system of an electric lock which can automatically unlock the electric lock without key even at the time of power failure.
CONSTITUTION: Electric lock 1 unlocks itself, when detector 3 detects the power failure, by discharging the charge of condenser 2 which has been charged while power was supplied from the power source. When AC power fails with the electric lock in locked position, the charge of condenser 9 is discharged by means of transistor 17 and the voltage at both ends of condenser 9 drops rapidly. When this voltage drops less than zener voltage of zener diode 14, transistor 17 is turned off and transistor 13 is turned on. When transistor 13 is turned on, the charge of condenser 2 is discharged by means of unlocking coil 7, switch 12 and transistor 13 to excite coil 7. As a result, electric lock 1 is unlocked and the door is opened without key.
