Abstract

PURPOSE: For uniformly distributing refrigerant and ensuring the independence of indoor, outdoor and piping branching units from each other, to provide a corresponding quantity of capillary tubes to that of parallel refrigerant courses.
CONSTITUTION: A piping branching unit 32 is provided to interconnect an ordinary type outdoor unit 30 and a plurality of indoor units 31a and 31b. The gas pipe 47 in said unit 32 is connected to four-way valves 49a and 49b and branch gas pipes 50a and 50b on one hand and to indoor units 31a and 31b, and further to a liquid pipe 56 by said indoor units 31a and 31b, connecting liquid pipes 52a and 52b and liquid side regular and reverse flow switching solenoid valves 54a and 54b. Said unit 32 has a third duct extending from said liquid pipe 56 to a receiver 65 through a solenoid valve 64 and forming a bypass circuit of capillary tubes 66 and 67 and a check valve 68.
