Abstract
PURPOSE: Polymerizable vinyl monomer is introduced into the terminals of molecular consisting of high density quaternary ammonium group principal chain and prepolymer, thereby to obtain a conductive treating agent of little temperature dependence, flexibility, and good film forming property useful as electrostatic photograph base paper.
CONSTITUTION: Dihalomonomer, (e.g. 2,4-trylene diisocyanate), tetra-alkyl diamino monomer, and tetra-alkyl diamino prepolymer are reacted in a proper molar ratio to shythesize a polymer having at its both terminals active halogen or NH2 groups. The resulted polymer is reacted with a vinyl group-containing tertiary amine (e.g. N,N-dimethyl amino ethyl methacrylate) to introduce vinyl group, providing desired conductive treating agent. The resulted treating agent has property of good bond strength with base paper, paper curl-eliminating flexibility, and neary coloress to be free from paper soil or coloring.
