Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the protection of a guide vane and its control mechanism by holding a link (connecting a guide ring and a guide vane) between a pair of friction plates through which a pin pierces.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of friction plates 14A and 14B through which the middle portion 16 of a connection pin 10 pierces are placed on the face and back of a link 6, and a nut 12 engaged with the screw portion 17 of the pin 10 is tightened so as to hold the link 6 between the friction plates 14A and 14B. The force transmission between the link 6 and a lever 7 is effected through the frictional force by which the plates 14A and 14B hold the link 6. The tightening force is determined by the stress generated in the middle portion 16 of the pin 10. Initial stress control is most reliable as the tightening force control.
