PURPOSE: To produce a high color rendition fluorescent lamp by attaching a first phosphor layer emitting light in the red range and a second phosphor layer composed of the mixture of phosphors emitting light in the long wave range and in the blue range to the bulb inner wall in sequence.
CONSTITUTION: On the inner wall of a discharge lamp glass bulb 31, a first phosphor layer 32 is formed by coating 3.5 MgO.0.5MgF2.GeO2/Mn emitting light in the red range and then, a second phosphor layer is formed on the first phosphor layer by dispersing the mixture of (Sr, Mg, Ba)3(PO4)2/Sn emitting light in the long wave range and Ba2P2O7/Ti emitting light in the blue range. As compared with the conventional blue phosphor MgWO4, the aforementioned Ba2P2O7/Ti is easy to select the grain size at the production of phosphor particle. Therefore, an even phosphor layer can be formed as mentioned above thereby ensuring stable production of a high color redition fluorescent lamp.
