Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the detaching mechanism for the roll chock on purpose to make possible the labor saving and the automation, by utilizing the rotation of the rotary ring for engaging the thrust block with the roll journal or for detaching the former from the latter. CONSTITUTION:By rotating the rotary ring 51 in the direction of arrow 71, the slant face 54 of the internal projection of the ratary ring 51 separates from the tip of the arm 43, and the adjoing projection 52 together with the guiding slant face 55 thrust the back face 46 of the tip of the arm toward the axial center. The arm 43 rotates counterclockwise, and the thrust block 41 is extracted from the ring groove 3 of the roll journal 2 through the pin 42. Hereby, the extraction of the rotary ring 51 toward the roll journal becomes possible; on the other hand, the rear end 49 of the arm 43 strikes the slant face 57 of the internal projection of the rotary ring 51, so that th rotation of the ratary ring 51 against the adjust ring 31 is restrained. Next, the push nut 35, etc., are removed and then the roll chock assembly is extracted.
