Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily cut the thick walled material at high accuracy along the cutting line of a complicated shape, by a specified angle inclining the cutting torch so as to make the cutting plane of the material to be cut to coincide with the expected cutting plane, and by turning the cutting torch round the conical block.
CONSTITUTION: The cutting torch 11 is attached to the outer surface of the conical block 15 whose vertical angle is equivalent to twice of the angle α made by the center line 13 of the nozzle 12 and the cutting plane of the blank 14 of the spur gear, etc., to be cut. When the line tracer head 19 rotates tracing the template 18, an input voltage generates at the cynchronism oscillator 20, and an AC deviation voltage generates between above input voltage and the output voltage of the synchronous control transformer 22. This deviation voltage is amplified, and is supplied to the AC servo-motor 24 which then rotates the output shaft 25. This rotation is transmitted to the miter gear 27 and the nozzle 12 of the torch 11 turns round the center axis 16 of the conical block 15 correspondingly to the movement of the line tracer head 19. As a result, the cutting plane of high accuracy is formed.
