Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to effect the power transmission only through the engagement and disengagement between a rotary shaft, which has a pin engaging always with a sheet-shaped magnetic disk, and a shaft for driving the rotary saft by providing the rotary shaft in a handling device. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 8 is mounted rotatably in the recess 7a of the housing 7 of a handling device 6 which is used to mount such a sheet-shaped recording medium 9 in either a zerographic apparatus or an electronic image reproducing apparatus as can be magnetically recorded with the information. A mother body 10 is fixed to the housing 7 and is so curved in one direction into the semicircular shape as is formed at its smooth surface with a protrusion 10b to be equipped rotatably with the magnetic disk 9. When the handling device 6 is accommodated in the zerographic apparatus or the electronic image reproducing apparatus, the toothed portion of the shaft 8 is brought into engagement with the toothed portion, which is formed on the drive shaft at the side of the accommodating chamber, thereby to effect the power transmission.
