Abstract
PURPOSE: To achieve the stabilization of tape running by respectively independently driving two capstan shafts with two motors and controlling the revolutions of both motors.
CONSTITUTION: Two capstan shafts 10, 11 are respectively independently driven by two motors 12, 13 which revolve in mutually opposite directions. Now, if a pinch roller makes rolling contact to the shaft 10 and other pinch roller 15 is apart from the shaft 11, a tape 1 is run at a constant speed by the motor 12 which is so controlled as to make constant running. On the other hand, a reel shaft table 8 takes up the tape 1 as it is transmitted with the power of the motor 13 which is controlled of the number of revolutions with respect to load torque by way of an idler 16. It is possible to perform the operation of the tape in the reverse direction, i.e., auto reverse type running by the operation of an inversion changeover means 17. The independent driving of the two capstan shafts with two motors of controlled revolutions in this way enables the tape to be run stably.
